Should Gold Be A Solution For Debt?

Gold has become one of the best assets that we can own in time of crisis and financial instability. But even with the massive reserves of gold we have, both mined and underground, we seem to be facing one of the worst financial crises in the history of mankind. Is this the moment to start using the gold we have for pay off our debts? Should be start selling our country's gold reserves to settle our troubles? Fort Knox alone could solve all of America's troubles, but is this really worth it? Will it pay off in the future?

The Obama administration is not even taking this in consideration. It is true that the debts are piling but this is not reason to start selling Mount Rushmore. When a country begins to sell their gold then you can be sure that there is no chance of buying is back any time soon. Making money shouldn't be a matter of selling our precious assets but rather a matter of coming up with new ways of raising funds. A simple look at the American administration would highlight the fact that it owns about 700 acres of land, a million buildings, electrical utilities and the entire interstate highway system.

The administration should simply get out of some of the businesses that they are in and that are not profitable to them and to the country. A very good example of what the American administration could do is to sell the interstate highway to private firms. This way they would make sure that the roads will be kept in better shape. Such a system is used successfully all over the world. So why not use it also in America where the need for better roads and more money is so great?

When a country starts selling its gold, then the effects in the long run will be more bad than good. Not only countries should take into consideration this unwritten rule. When you want to become long term investors then you can be sure that you will be able to protect your savings and the future of your family.

Investing in gold these days is very easy to accomplish so make sure that you diversify your portfolio with gold. There are numerous ways in which you can invest in the glittering metal, so why not give this possibility another thought?
