Because of the late summer season (still 100 degree) temperatures local suppliers did not have suitable air conditioner room size replacement models and GE was without parts readily available for the failed unit.
The unit is peaceful also with my air conditioner room size 700 + sq ft apartment it cools it with no problems. My new kitten and I thank Amazon for getting us through the heat, for a fantastic purchase, fantastic price and delivery RIGHT ON TIME AS USUAL! There's a reason they've this kind of high ratings. Would get 5 stars but, which has not been a real problem, however it doesn't appear to stand perfectly upright (granted this may be my fault, although I do not think it is).
I love the slim, light build. This unit was very successful the first day, the following few the condenser would not turn on in spite of setting it for any low temp. My cheap air conditioning units wouldn't do that. I can feel the difference because of the air conditioner room size.
Controls are pretty straight forward and intuitive and also the handheld remote control is a nice touch. I got myself this to use in my camper that we reside in full-time and the square footage is less than the recommended footage, this cooler is rated for cooling. The fan is quieter than I was expecting, and I utilize it to vent heat from an upstairs loft and it matches the recommended air conditioner room size. The other good thing is it has a LED display with lots of information on it, like pace, temperature, and so on.
As others wrote, this unit does NOT have the capacity to be a room cooler, rather it's an effective AREA cooler. Is effective (in dry heat, obviously) and I'd suggest to friends.
I can not have an ac unit because all of my windows slid horizontally. I mean, not absurdly loud, loud enough to hear when you are standing right in front of it; loud enough not to want to adjust anything if someone's asleep nearby because it would wake them right up. After 14 days I called and said excitedly I had not receive a replacement.
So, following a lot research I ordered this model. I just read all the reviews of the item just before purchasing, and they are pretty accurate. I ordered the product simply because I was moving and realized my new location could be hot (top floor apartment, and plenty of windows and square feet. I needed a *really* peaceful fan that will not wake my rest. I'm able to re-adjust the fan's position (after I want it fixed) or change to oscillation or back to fixed on impulse, change the pace or mode, and set the timer with out getting off my butt. I selected to use this piece, and even though I had been a little concerned it might cause the fan to wobble while oscillating, I've discovered that I do not need to have worried about air conditioner room size at all. You'll however be able to separate the back in the front sufficient to remove the control panel cover inside (no screws involved).
It has not seen a real test of heat but, however it does a fantastic job keeping the room comfy.
I determined if this was the fan for me using their air conditioner size calculator. Set up: Very easy to mount on a window unlike most cheap air conditioning units. The first one that arrived works wonderfully - - I'd give it the greatest recommendation.

About the Author:
It is almost like the cold air it makes gets carried through the whole house like a home air conditioning systems would do. I'll report a portable air conditioner review if I have problems.
